Cosmic Mirrors: Reflecting the Infinite | Dany Green

Exhibition Statement:

I break things and put them back together again. My process begins with a single shard of glass, with each subsequent piece placed in response to the one before it. What begins as disconnected fragments becomes a dance between the static material and my desire for fluidity—a balance between order and chaos. Hundreds of individual pieces accumulate into a whole, each one marking a moment in time while contributing to a larger, interconnected composition.

Glass is a fickle material. Its appearance changes with a small shift in perspective. By using stained glass, often iridescent or mirrored, the work becomes elusive, and a gap is created between the literal and the imagined. The work becomes a portal to something larger—a reflection of the infinite.
