“What’s Your Favorite?” with District Collage

Celebrate Welcoming Week at the YMCA Anthony Bowen with a free collage workshop. “What’s your favorite color?” It’s a question ubiquitous in childhood conversations that we eventually seem to stop asking. “What’s Your Favorite” is a workshop to bring our favorites back to the forefront.

At this workshop, participants will explore a number of their favorites (color, shape, word) through the practice of collage. Participants will be encouraged to draw inspiration from the works of art on display in the (my) favorite exhibition at Gallery Y—an exhibit celebrating artists’ favorite pieces of art they have created.

All supplies provided. This is a drop-in activity. Open to all ages and skill levels. Artists under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

At Gallery Y at YMCA Anthony Bowen, visitors are invited to create collages inspired by the works on display in the (my) favorite exhibit curated by Beth Ferraro, on view…
